In partnership with Pathways to Education, Lenczner Slaght is currently seeking a Finance Summer Intern.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance Operations, the Finance Intern will be responsible for supporting the Finance team with a variety of tasks including data entry, financial reporting, document production, assisting with process improvement projects, and other projects as they arise.
Job responsibility:
-Assist the accounts payable team with office payment requests and expense reimbursements.
-Assist with weekly financial accounts payable tasks.
-Update documentation and templates to improve our training documentation.
-Provide support on ad-hoc projects and analysis.
-Data entry and clean up.
-Other duties as and when required.
Experience & Qualification requirements:
-Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in a Finance/ Accounting related program or display a demonstrated interest.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Advanced Excel skills considered an asset.
-Experience working with financial reporting programs will be considered an asset.
-Strong customer service orientation.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills.
-Excellent attention to detail.
-Demonstrated ability to work well in a team-oriented and fast paced work environment.
-Capable of maintaining flexibility.
-Ability to work independently and with excellent judgment to both follow instructions and take initiative as appropriate.
