In partnership with Pathways to Education, Lenczner Slaght is currently seeking an Information Technology (IT) Service Desk Summer Intern.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, IT Applications & Operations, the IT Service Desk Intern will provide hands-on experience in IT support. The intern will assist the IT Service Desk in resolving technical issues, manage user requests, and contribute to maintaining the security of our systems.
Job responsibility:
-Assist in troubleshooting and resolving IT service desk tickets.
-Provide technical support to end-users, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
-Help maintain and update IT documentation and user guides.
-Assist in vendor reviews and assessments.
-Work with end users to remediate vulnerabilities.
-Support the implementation of security policies and procedures.
-Collaborate with the IT team on various projects and initiatives.
-Other duties as and when required.
Experience & Qualification requirements:
-Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
-Basic understanding of IT support and troubleshooting.
-Knowledge of fundamental cyber security principles.
-Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
-Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
-Ability to work independently and with excellent judgment to both follow instructions and take initiative as appropriate.
-Motivated, enthusiastic and passionate about technology and security.
