Job Summary:
We are seeking a student who is eager and motivated to learn. Working with the Northbridge Actuarial Pricing department, the selected candidate will assist with a wide variety of projects. This entails traditional P&C actuarial work, such as ratemaking, to less traditional work such as portfolio management and reporting. Working in the Northbridge Actuarial department, you can expect to be a part of an entrepreneurial team while utilizing your knowledge and skills in a corporate environment. You will get hands-on experience working on many different projects throughout the term, alongside some very knowledgeable actuaries. The skills learnt during your time at Northbridge will help you to build a foundation for your future career aspirations.
Job responsibility:
• Gathering and evaluating data from various sources to support analyses
• Improving efficiency in different business processes
• Conducting market research and assisting with various projects as needed
Experience & Qualification requirements:
• Background in Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science or a similar field
• Great knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Programming skills such as VBA and SAS are preferred
• Great communication, and time management skills
• Self-starter, quick learner, and professional
• Ability to work independently, and as part of a team
• Actuarial exams and Property & Casualty courses are an asset
