Job Summary:
Cordelio’s New Opportunity Program is a no-experience-necessary program for a small number of job-seekers with high interest and high potential who would like to contribute to the mission of a growing renewable power company. This position is ideal for individuals interested in expanding their knowledge and gaining valuable experience. We offer a chance to work with a world-class renewable generation organization, learning from and supporting different departments, and developing an understanding of and ability to add value to our company. We are hoping experience from team members from all facets of our organization can help you learn and grow your career opportunities.

This opportunity will be for 3-4 months with a possibility to extend, and an opportunity for permanent employment.
This opportunity is currently available in Cordelio’s Toronto and Vancouver offices.
Compensation is competitive, and in some instances we could be able to tailor our compensation program (potential for co-op credit if relevant).

Job responsibility:
We see the position interacting across several groups, with potential activities to include:

  • Finance/Accounting
    • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for project execution
    • Collaborate on project investigations and discrepancies
    • Assist with payment, audit and accounting systems
  •  Commercial
    • Support team of various aspects of project acquisitions
    • Review and analyze financial models
    • Collaborate with team to negotiate commercial agreements
  • Project Development
    • Support development team with execution of renewable project development plans
    • Assist with land acquisition activities and local stakeholder outreach
    • Research and advance municipal, county and other permitting requirements
  • Project Construction
    • Collaborate with various business units on project construction matters
    • Assist with resolution of disputes and accurate accounting
    • Compile job books and other records necessary for final completion

Experience & Qualification requirements:

  • No experience or education requirements
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • An interest in and enjoyment of solving problems
  • Comfort with basic mathematics
  • An ability to approach unpredictable situations with calmness
  • Ability to be agile and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work both remotely (from home) and in the office when necessary
  • An enjoyment of working with people and in teams

Nice to have – but not necessary: Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
